1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the services of AutoFix Garage, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. These Terms of Service govern your use of our automotive repair and maintenance services, as well as our website and related services. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. We reserve the right to change these terms at any time without prior notice.
2. Service Description
AutoFix Garage provides professional automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostic services. Our services include but are not limited to engine repair, brake services, transmission work, electrical diagnostics, oil changes, and general automotive maintenance. All services are performed by certified technicians using industry-standard equipment and procedures. Service availability may vary based on vehicle make, model, and current shop capacity.
We strive to provide accurate estimates and timely service completion, but actual repair times may vary depending on parts availability, complexity of repairs, and unforeseen complications that may arise during the diagnostic or repair process.
3. Pricing and Payment Terms
All pricing for services and parts is subject to change without notice. Estimates provided are approximations based on initial diagnostics and may change if additional work is required. Final pricing will be communicated and approved before completion of work. Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. A service charge may apply for returned checks. If payment is not received within 30 days of service completion, a finance charge of 1.5% per month may be applied to the outstanding balance.
4. Warranties and Guarantees
We provide warranties on our workmanship and parts as follows: Labor warranty covers our workmanship for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Parts warranties vary by manufacturer but are typically covered for the duration of the manufacturer's warranty period. Warranty coverage begins on the date of service completion.
Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, damage due to accident, misuse, or failure to follow recommended maintenance schedules. Warranty claims must be made in writing and presented along with the original service invoice.
5. Limitation of Liability
AutoFix Garage's liability for any claim, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not responsible for consequential damages, lost wages, rental car expenses, or other indirect damages unless specifically agreed to in writing. Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective work or parts.
Customers are responsible for removing personal items from vehicles before service. AutoFix Garage is not responsible for theft or damage to personal property left in vehicles, including but not limited to electronics, tools, or other valuable items.
6. Vehicle Storage and Abandonment
Vehicles left on our premises for more than 30 days after completion of work or notification that work cannot be completed may be considered abandoned. After 60 days, we reserve the right to dispose of abandoned vehicles in accordance with state law and charge storage fees. Storage fees accrue daily and must be paid before vehicle release.
We are not responsible for weather damage, theft, or vandalism to vehicles stored on our property. Customers are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance coverage on their vehicles at all times.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and maintain customer information necessary to provide our services, including contact information, vehicle details, and service history. This information is kept confidential and is not shared with third parties except as necessary to complete repairs or as required by law. We may use customer contact information to provide service reminders, warranty notifications, and promotional offers. Customers may opt out of promotional communications at any time by contacting us directly.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If direct negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration will be conducted in Los Angeles County, California, and the decision will be final and binding on both parties.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any legal action must be filed in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
9. Changes to Terms
AutoFix Garage reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We encourage customers to review these terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
